Position Summary:

Responsible for providing instruction to English as Second Language students who are preparing to enter academic, career and technical, or workforce development programs at a postsecondary college or university.

Essential Functions:

• Provides integrated English language and college and career preparatory curriculum to adult multilingual learners.
• Works with a team to develop and implement curriculum that prepares students for the logistical and academic rigors of postsecondary education or workforce training.
• Works with supervisor to meet educational outcomes for instruction and assessment, including metrics established by state and federal funding sources as well as metrics specific to the college preparatory or workforce training course objectives.
• Collaborates with the supervisor and with the Integrated Education and Training team to develop and deliver instruction that meets the language acquisition and college preparatory or workforce training needs of students in the class.
• Maintains course and student records, including curriculum development, lesson plans, attendance logs, outcomes monitoring, and other records as assigned.
• Assists with intake, registration, and testing as assigned.
• Attends staff and project team meetings as assigned.
• Completes professional development and staff training required by program and supervisor.
• Conveys by words and actions the values expected by CWI.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• TESOL certification
• Classroom teaching experience in multiple modalities, including face-to-face, remote, online, or hybrid
• Proficiency with classroom technology required
• Master’s Degree in TESOL or related field strongly preferred
• Experience teaching adult English language learners in a workforce training or postsecondary preparatory program strongly preferred
