Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Artificial Intelligence Teacher to join our team. As an AI Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of AI talent by equipping individuals with the knowledge and skills they need to excel in this rapidly evolving field. Your ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and accessible manner will be key to your success in this role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AI technologies, including machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and computer vision. Your role will involve creating engaging and interactive learning materials, conducting hands-on workshops, and providing one-on-one mentorship to help learners achieve their goals. You will also stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and incorporate them into your teaching sessions.
A WD instructor will be expected to effectively demonstrate support of program education; provide a positive, supportive and professional atmosphere for students and instructors. In addition, the instructor will contribute to the effectiveness and quality of the program; and provide constructive, supportive behavioral feedback to improve the quality of education and customer service.
Essential Functions:
• Instructors teach assigned classes in accordance with established policies and guidelines.
• Deliver the approved course of study as outlined in the syllabus, maintaining a student-oriented approach to education.
• Prepare and/or gather current instructional materials and equipment and use available technological equipment and methods for delivery.
• Provide individual and group instruction.
• Implement & evaluate new instructional technologies.
• Evaluate student learning and teaching effectiveness through written, oral, practical and/or performance testing.
• Provide frequent feedback to students regarding individual progress in each course.
• Manage and supervise students in all assigned classroom and laboratory activities.
• Maintain discipline in the classroom and laboratory.
• Attend and participate in scheduled meetings.
• Maintain current knowledge of technology in the field.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Strong knowledge of AI technologies, including machine learning, deep learning, NLP, and computer vision.
• Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
• Experience in curriculum development and instructional design.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for teaching and mentoring.
• Familiarity with online learning platforms and tools.
• Experience with data analysis and visualization.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
• Experience in a corporate training environment is a plus.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, and Java.
• Ability to create engaging and interactive learning materials.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with learners.
• Enthusiasm for and interest in excellence for the delivery of online learning, with a commitment to Student Success.
• Experience with traditional face-to-face, hybrid and online courses and the ability to use the College of Western Idaho’s Learning Management System (Blackboard) as well as technology-enhanced curriculum. Access to home internet, a personal computer, and telephone is required.
• Strong familiarity with Information Technology training needs
• Knowledge of adult learning methodology
• Ability to demonstrate commitment to professional growth and development
• Proficiency in usage of internet, email, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software applications
• Demonstrates skill and willingness to learn and use multiple technology platforms to communicate with students.
• Experience using evidence-based strategies to support student success including frequent communication and active learning
