Key Responsibilities:
Deliver High-Quality Instruction and Student Support
- Teach assigned Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) courses in alignment with CWI catalog descriptions and program standards.
- Apply effective teaching methods that promote student engagement, learning, and success.
- Serve as a professional role model, demonstrating excellence in physical therapy care and ethical practice.
- Assess and grade student performance according to established course criteria.
Collaborate and Contribute to Program Success
- Participate in orientation, mentoring, and faculty team meetings to support program cohesion and instructional consistency.
- Engage in program activities related to course planning, implementation, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure adherence to applicable program, department, and college policies and regulations.
Maintain Professional and Educational Growth
- Stay current with developments in physical therapy practice and education through continuing education and professional development.
- Maintain subject matter expertise to deliver relevant and up-to-date course content.
- Demonstrate ongoing commitment to excellence in teaching and professional practice.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Associate of Science Degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• 5 years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant or Physical Therapist.
• Current Licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant /Physical Therapist.
• Currently practicing in a clinical environment.

*Successful candidates are required to reside in Idaho by the first day of work for the College of Western Idaho.
