Position Details: 

  • Location: Canyon County Center in Nampa, Idaho, and various clinical sites. 

  • Role: Teach assigned classes, advise students, and contribute to program initiatives. 

  • Impact: Shape an inclusive, responsive learning environment tailored to the needs of CWI’s diverse community. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Instruction: 

  • Develop and Apply Inclusive Teaching Practices: Implement student-centered pedagogy that addresses the diverse learning needs of CWI’s community college population. 

  • Enhance Course Effectiveness: Continuously improve course curriculum, content delivery, and assessment methods based on student feedback and performance data. 

  • Demonstrate Teaching Excellence: Establish and sustain a record of high-quality instruction through measurable outcomes. 

  • Contribute to Curriculum Development: Actively participate in the creation and revision of course materials to align with program goals and industry standards. 

Institutional Engagement 

  • Build Institutional Knowledge: Develop professional relationships to understand college resources, systems, and support structures. 

  • Support Student Success Initiatives: Engage in service activities that foster both student achievement and personal growth. 

  • Collaborate on Department Initiatives: Actively participate in department or program-level initiatives, contributing to shared goals and improvements. 

  • Participate in Planning and Assessment: Engage with departmental planning and assessment processes to support continuous improvement. 

Professional Development 

  • Align Professional Growth with Institutional Goals: Collaborate with supervisors to identify how personal expertise and interests can enhance both student outcomes and personal career development. 

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Education: Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred or currently enrolled in a graduate nursing degree program. 

  • Team Orientation: Willingness to work cooperatively and communicate effectively within a collaborative team environment. 

  • Adaptability: Comfort with diverse teaching methodologies, including technology-based instruction and distance learning.  

  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with essential software (internet, Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and experience with instructional technology for online course delivery is a plus. 

  • Experience in nursing education or training, with a strong interest in teaching and mentoring is a bonus but is not required.
