Join our dedicated faculty as a Communication Instructor and inspire students with your passion for teaching and commitment to academic excellence. Additionally, lead our prestigious, 8-time National Championship Speech and Debate Team, mentoring students to achieve their highest potential.

Here are some Key Responsibilities 

Communication Faculty: 

  • Collaborate with department faculty on program initiatives. 

  • Contribute to program assessment and curriculum development. 

  • Teach courses in public speaking, argumentation, and related topics. 

  • Represent the department at college events and in community outreach efforts.

Speech & Debate Coach: 

  • Serve as a coach for the 8-Time National Championship CWI Speech & Debate Team. 

  • Collaborate with fellow coaches to manage day-to-day team operations. 

  • Coach students and prepare the team for competitions. 

  • Coordinate travel planning and budgeting with department and school leadership. 

  • Ensure compliance with team expenses in collaboration with the CWI business office. 

  • Travel with the team to regional and national competitions, serving as coach and supervisor. 

What We’re Looking For 

Required: 

  • Master’s degree in Communication or a related field from an accredited institution. 

  • Experience teaching at the post-secondary level. 

  • Ability to travel with the Speech and Debate Team 

Preferred: 

  • Experience coaching an intercollegiate speech and debate team. 

  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching at a community college or with adult learners. 

  • Experience using instructional technology to deliver online courses. 

  • Service to an institution of higher learning.
