Position Summary:
Join the College of Western Idaho’s dynamic Entrepreneur Lab team! We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Administrative Assistant to help support aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators. This temporary, part-time position is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, creative environment, and be part of an innovative team inspiring creativity and business growth.
The Administrative Assistant will perform a variety of routine, diverse, and confidential duties, including organizing events, scheduling outreach efforts, promoting lab activities, and assisting with operational needs. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation of the Entrepreneur Lab and fostering its mission of empowering students and community members to bring their innovative ideas to life.
This is a part-time, temporary position with an anticipated length of up to 6 months. The schedule will include up to 19.5 hours per week.
Essential Functions:
• Serve as the first point of contact for the Entrepreneur Lab, welcoming visitors, students, and staff with professionalism and enthusiasm.
• Answer phones, manage voicemail, and respond to email inquiries promptly and accurately.
• Coordinate and submit event forms for lab-hosted activities, workshops, and networking events.
• Schedule and manage outreach booths at college events and community gatherings.
• Visit classrooms to promote Entrepreneur Lab resources and upcoming events.
• Create and distribute promotional materials, including flyers and newsletters.
• Facilitate one-on-one meetings with students and community members to introduce lab offerings and resources.
• Compose and distribute email communications and other written materials as needed.
• Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Maintain and organize administrative records, documents, and files.
• Provide information to visitors and stakeholders about CWI policies, programs, and procedures related to the Entrepreneur Lab.
• Represent CWI’s values and mission with professionalism and dedication.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• 1 year of administrative support experience required.
• Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
• Proficiency in PC hardware and software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
• Excellent customer service skills with a welcoming and positive demeanor.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and entrepreneurial program needs.
• Dependable, with a track record of excellent attendance.
