Are you passionate about exploring social structures, cultural dynamics, and human interaction? The College of Western Idaho (CWI) is seeking Adjunct Sociology Faculty to teach engaging courses that support both Sociology majors and non‑majors pursuing a well‑rounded education.

Engaging Instruction with Purpose:
- Teach Sociology courses following the Curriculum Guide and Canvas Blueprint
- Develop and maintain inclusive, student-centered pedagogy across all instructional modalities
- Continuously refine curriculum, assessments, and course delivery to meet student needs
- Hold regular drop‑in hours and maintain open communication with students
Student-Centered & Mission-Aligned:
- Monitor and record student progress with accuracy and timeliness
- Participate in instructional evaluation processes
- Adhere to the Social Sciences and Public Affairs Letter of Teaching

What We’re Looking For:
- Master’s degree in Sociology required
- 1+ years of post‑secondary Sociology teaching experience as lead instructor
- Demonstrated teaching effectiveness and commitment to professional growth
- Ability to adapt instruction across lecture, group work, individual learning, online delivery, and technology-enhanced formats
- Proficiency with instructional technologies, LMS platforms, and standard productivity software
- Strong communication, collaboration, and collegial engagement
Additional Instructions For Applicants:
Most positions at CWI are in-person and based on campus. While some roles may allow up to two remote workdays per week, eligibility for remote work is determined on a case-by-case basis at the hiring manager's discretion. All candidates must reside within, or be willing to relocate to, a reasonable commuting distance from CWI. Employment visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
